Brasilia, February 20, 2018.– The minister of Foreign Affairs of Suriname, Yldiz Pollack Beighle, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of ACTO, María Jacqueline Mendoza. On the occasion, they discussed various topics such as regional cooperation, development of programs, among other issues.

During her visit, the minister expressed the support from the Government of Suriname to ACTO, as well as to the accreditation letter of the Permanent Secretariat of ACTO on becoming the regional implementing agency of the Green Climate Fund.

Furthermore, the minister confirmed presence at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty and of the 8th World Water Forum, which will be held in March, in Brasília, Brazil.
